[Thomas Tayebwa @Thomas_Tayebwa]

Last evening, my wife and i joined @Kigo7Lakes Rotarians for the installation of my good friend @KKariisa, Group CEO of @nextmediaug, as the new President of the Rotary Club. For me, @Rotary is the only place where you experience total satisfaction because what you give creates a lasting impact.

But there is a challenge. Despite Rotary’s global reach, many still wrongly believe it’s only for the wealthy. This misconception limits its potential. The truth is, you don’t need to be rich to serve. Even a small act of generosity can go a long way in saving lives.

I shared the story of how Jesus fed 5,000 people, a miracle recorded in all four Gospels. It began with a boy who offered just five loaves and two fish. His name is never mentioned, yet his simple act made a profound difference. That’s the spirit of Rotary: you don’t need to be a major donor. What matters is the heart behind your giving.

Given that this club includes many golfers, I also reminded them that they shouldn’t be golfers who only celebrate trophies. Instead, they should focus on the footprints they leave and the lives they touch through service.

We know Kin as an influential figure in the media industry, whose platforms shape conversations and stories. In Rotary, I am more than confident he will now help create stories of service. And these are stories that truly matter and create an impact that will never fade.

Congratulations brother.
