I went to The Regency Bookshop this afternoon and ordered The Compassionate Mind by Paul Gilbert. The book advocates self-compassion which is notoriously difficult for some people. On the way home I went to Claygate Day Centre and treated myself to a ham and cheese toastie.
It was great to meet the pharmacist at Surbiton Boots today. She was very compassionate and really listened to what I had to say. I then treated myself to breakfast at La Cigale. Again, the customer service was excellent. How did this make me feel? It made me feel validated.
