Without rehashing details, the chasm between groups of GCs is clearly widening. It’s “us vs them”. It’s hushed tones in corners and furtive glances. It’s hearing a phrase and taking completely opposite meanings from it. It’s transactional allyship. It’s performative allyship.

Finished with summer clinic! I’m going to miss it, but now I get to relax before classes start

I met with a patient who was a brown woman, like me. She gave me a look of acknowledgment and relief when I told her I’d be leading the appointment. Representation matters.

I love rotating in cancer genetics because I hate the disease so much.
