Robotics 101; a simple guide
robotics isn’t one subject. it’s a fusion of many.
to understand robots, you need to understand how nature, math, and logic come together to make things move with intent.
1. the 5 pillars of robotics:
‣ mechanical engineering → how to build the body. (motors, gears, frames)
‣ electronics → how to make it move. (sensors, circuits, microcontrollers)
‣ control systems → how to make it move precisely. (PID, feedback loops, stability)
‣ computer science → how to make it think. (algorithms, path planning, computer vision)
‣ AI & autonomy → how to make it adapt. (learning, decision-making, behavior)
2. how to start (the right way):
‣ learn embedded systems; start with Arduino, then STM32, ESP32, Raspberry Pi.
‣ learn control theory; understand PID, state-space, and feedback loops.
‣ learn math & physics; vectors, kinematics, dynamics, and forces.
‣ learn coding; python for algorithms, C++ for performance, ROS for integration.
‣ learn mechanics; CAD design, 3D printing, torque, joints, actuators.
3. projects to build:
‣ a line-following robot (fundamentals)
‣ a self-balancing bot (control theory)
‣ a robotic arm (kinematics)
‣ an autonomous drone or rover (AI + perception)
4. learn by building.
you can’t “read” your way into robotics. you build, break, debug, repeat.
every failure teaches more than 10 tutorials ever will.
5. the mindset:
robots are mechanical reflections of your thinking.
when your logic improves, your robots improve
Apne recent YouTube video me Abhishek ne reveal kiya ki unhone #BaseerAli ko support kiya tha, lekin wo scene episode me dikhaya hi nahi gaya!

Honestly being part of the chronically ill community is such a weird experience.
It is horrific being in this situation where your life has been ruined thanks to your health.
But the people you meet who are also chronically ill are the only people who can even begin to comprehend your life, but they’re the most lovely, supportive people. And the last people who deserve to understand what you’re going through.
So much love to my chronic illness warriors🫶🏻
Despite recent market turbulence, top-tier projects continue to thrive—and I’m thrilled to spotlight one of the standout leaders in the AI+NFT space on BNB Chain: @nfprompt
NFPrompt is the first Prompt Artist Platform in Web3, which lets you mint your imagination into an AI-Generated NFT
Collectors and enthusiasts can buy/sell the NFT together with the prompt that was used to generate the image 🖼️
It’s stellar growth, fueled by a massive Binance Launchpool fair launch for $NFP and Binance Labs backing🧪 makes it a standout
I’m optimistic about its future💃🎉

Does anybody have a contact @CPUT I met a young student on the plane, Nobuhle. She is from Ulundi had never traveled outside her town let alone province.
She was excited to start her first year. Was told to come today. She has been accepted academically but her res was pending. She has proof she was asked to come today even if res was pending on the system she would then register at the admin block.
When we landed I could tell she was a little lost so I offered to drop her off at campus because she only had R150 for transport for the week. The Uber to her campus was already R180
We arrive at the campus and security won’t let her in because the admin has closed for the day. He shows us about another 50 kids sitting by the gate with their bags unable to go register so they can go to their res.
I can’t in good conscience leave her alone on the street. Mrs Motaung who told her to come isn’t answering her phone.
I mean what is she meant to do? Alternatively she can try come back tomorrow but I don’t have anywhere for her to stay because everything is booked up for SONA and mining Indaba or it’s like 16k a room
I also have an event at 6pm
So please help with a CPUT contact or suggestions.
Lapho her dream was to come do med lab science here so that she can create some early detection chemical or formula for blood diseases then make it affordable for the people from a town like hers
