As a former educator, I know firsthand the lasting impact a great teacher can have across a lifetime. During Teacher Appreciation Week, we celebrate the educators who inspire curiosity, nurture potential, and lead by example every single day.
I'm happy to be joined by SUNY intern Emma Delaney, a student in the Teacher Education Program at the State University of New York at @UAlbany, who also shared what inspires her to pursue a career in teaching.
Last week, I toured Cornell Tech and the FDR Four Freedoms State Park on Roosevelt Island. During the visit, I met with students and campus leadership to discuss opportunities for collaboration in research, grant partnerships, and workforce development. Cornell Tech exemplifies the innovation and academic excellence that strengthen New York City and the broader region.
Today, @SUNY Chancellor @JohnBKing and his staff visited Cornell Tech to explore opportunities for collaboration, and spoke with researchers about their work to learn about our Ph.D. and Runway Startup Postdoc programs.
Giving back to our communities!

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?” 💙
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Chancellor King joined SUNY Trustees, SUNY staff, the Empire State Service Corps, and local volunteers to assemble literacy kits at @UnitedWay_GCR. These kits were made in partnership with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, helping inspire the next generation of readers.
Serving together is how we turn values into action. I was proud to join SUNY and state agency staff, ESSC members, and volunteers in Albany as we assembled literacy kits in partnership with @UnitedWay_GCR and @dollyslibrary. This work reflects Dr. King’s legacy of bringing people together to make a meaningful difference for the next generation.
Having a great time at the @ualbany v. @binghamtonu basketball game, including running into President D’Alleva! The crowd is showing their support for our students, and it's always fun to catch a SUNY game. I'm loving all the SUNY spirit on display!
