Very pleased to meet with comrade Bingi Max, this time not in a prison uniform! Before his arrest and detention in 2020, comrade Max was very actively engaged with the struggle for a better country. He never missed an opportunity to put on his red #PeoplePower attire and go everywhere preaching the message of change. After several warnings, he was arrested and slapped with tramped up charges under the computer Misuse Act. He has spent 3 years and 6 months in detention at Luzira. Over the years he spent there, he has been receiving many of our comrades at Luzira and helping them 'settle in.' We visited him a number of times in prison and he always maintained a positive outlook despite the persecution! Last week, the High Court quashed his conviction and set aside his sentence. The price of freedom!
Welcome back comrade. Aluta continua!
Impossibilities turn into possibilities when through faith and hope, ordinary people set out to achieve extraordinary things. Be positive. Be kind. Work hard. Trust God.
To a blessed new month friends.
When you listen to the bold words of the late Hajj. Hussein Kyanjo, you won't be surprised that the regime did everything to silence him. He spoke truth to power with great clarity. May his gentle soul continue resting in peace, and may the rest of us continue this work until we bring it to its logical conclusion or at least we die trying. #WeAreRemovingaDictator
Psalms 121:1-8
I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber;
Indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD watches over you-- the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm-- he will watch over your life;
The LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. AMEN
Blessed Sunday friends
Today in Kinyerere, Matanga, Masaka City, we attended the last funeral rites of the late father of our brother Sir Mathias Walukagga (Mayor Kyengera Town Council) Mzee Kirizanto Kisiriinya Buyondo who passed on last year. He has been installed as heir to his late father. I delivered a message on behalf of @NUP_Ug and @HEBobiwine. We reminded our people of our urgent and collective effort to redeem our motherland from an ever worsening political, social and economic crisis. May mzee Buyondo's soul continue resting in peace.
