Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service held it's first Open Day at Tynemouth Community Fire Service, it was an amazing day, well supported and it was a privilege as always for The Salvation Army Emergency Response Team to be part of this event.
The North East England Emergency Response Vehicle attended an event hosted at Nortgberland Fire and Rescue Service HQ. We offer support to our Emergency Service Personnel, providing food, drinks, listening ear and much more, only a phone call away for us to attend an incident.
Today is Fire Fighter Memorial Day. Remembering all fallen Fire Fighters and those who continue to serve are communities today. We thank you for their courage, our heroes.
I think of the Fire Fighters of Tyne and Wear FRS, thank you for your service.
@GMB Well done Niamdh for taking a stand. My mum was 83 when she passed away last year. She'd spent most of that year in hospital or in care, she was Deaf. Throughout that year and previous hospital visits, no one was available to sign for her. This caused frustration and anger.
At The Salvation Army we have stood alongside the emergency services for decades. Whatever the weather, our Emergency Response service is there. Read about we respond any time of the day or night to support the emergency services on the ground at a crisis: https://t.co/aJZ1Sny68q
