@doc_bipolar A career in medical education perhaps? Lots of great training programs in clinical and health professional education, including online. A great community to belong to.
@DrJoannaT Keep wearing the mask Jo! And using the hand sanitiser. Due to a slip up somewhere I’m no longer a NOVID ☹️Not sure if it was conference dinner (no mask) or sick woman with handful of used tissues next to me on the plane (surface spread).
There have been 205 COVID deaths reported in the last 7 days. That’s nearly 30 deaths a day. COVID is now entrenched as our third leading cause of death behind heart disease and dementia. It is nothing like the flu, as this graph so clearly illustrates @CroakeyNews@abcnews 👇
@DrJoannaT Do we need to be careful that time to watch that supplementary material doesn’t exceed hours in a student’s day or replace student’s time in placement?
The Fellowship Mentorship team are @anzahpe enjoying meeting first timers and aspiring Fellows. Our next Mentorship Program launches Sept 14th. More info coming soon. All welcome #ANZAHPE2023
Do you work in health professions assessment and feedback? Got something to share with other educators?
Proposals for @Ottawa2024 pre-conference workshops close soon: https://t.co/vA23qMAtT9
Would love to learn from people like @InsidOutAnatomy@inquisitiveGyn@JoCBishopHD ...
@linguist1980 I can’t see how this would do anything other than crunch data, but it’s not qualitative analysis imo, since no researcher interpretation has been done. Qualitative methods are called interpretive for a reason.
@mededdoc @r_ajjawi Agree. Part of the problem is institutional endorsement of a standardised approach and terminology rather than supporting any rational, theory informed approach to curriculum design.
@HelenBevan Years ago one of the cats (lions) I was trying to herd said give us ownership and we’ll take responsibility. So effective. I’ve never forgotten. Threshold concept that moved me closer to believing theory Y
We worked really hard to figure out the abstract themes list - hope everyone in health professions assessment land will submit and come to Melbourne next year!
@leeflang_m There’s sloppy practices and also sloppy interpretation, both harmful. Med students might not do the research, but they do need to do the interpretation. Sounds like you’re onto both. Great work.
