Aaaargh (prolonged cry of frustration)— hour three of no sleep tonight, for no good reason. I can hear the drag racers in the distance. I can smell the rain.
@WillieHandler@JesseSmithBooks Pretty sure I know what prompted the pot stirring... and I tip my hat to you. Subtle, Mr. Smith. Also this should go in the annals of “you know you’re a writer when” because... poetry. Pot stirring. Pablo Neruda. You get it.
Sometimes there are days when you have to pick up your muddy, wet, dog, who is being an asshat toward a pitbull and perpetuating the myth that small dogs are asshats, that you realize after chatting with a neighbor, that said asshat left a wet spot on your shirt, in the boob area
I’ve been the interwebs version of an 80’s sitcom star lately... people think gee, whatever happened to that one girl. Some people already think I’m dead. Nope. But I did look at the instaface and y’all look wonderful. Happy November and stuff 😘
Short work weeks feel the longest. I invented a form of car calisthenics to make the commute pass quicker. Butt clenches during traffic, very entertaining...just as long as I stay in my lane. People look at me oddly when I do jumping jacks though.
@JesseSmithBooks And to make you realize that anything you ever thought your life would be as an individual has been usurped by tiny, adorable dictators.
@JesseSmithBooks If it’s any consolation, you have truckloads of moral support and lots of good company. I’ve barely waded out from the Transcendentalists and into the Stoics. Stay away from the existentialists. Troublemakers.
@JesseSmithBooks Define it, and then we can decide. If it’s just a philosophical wonderment of what does this all mean and what is my place in the universe, that’s longer than the sports cars and strip club phase. Significantly.
I always miss my dad when I watch Dirty Dancing. Aside from the romance, it’s about a girl who wants to make her dad happy, despite her flaws. And in the end he realizes that he loves his kid for who she is, not who he wanted her to be. That’s the kind of dad I already have.
@JesseSmithBooks @annhlynn @Simpson_Romance@SisterQuill @thepunkdroet @iamrrcampbell @RealChrisRox More like a hermit crab’s shell, with piles of work and school and children and such all stacked up on the outside, weighing it down and leaving no room for my beloved twitter shenanigans with #witlingwriters
