Trump on CUSMA: I'm not looking to renew it ... We don't need anything that Canada has. We don't need anything that Mexico has, but they need everything that we have.
Trump on CUSMA: I'm not looking to renew it ... We don't need anything that Canada has. We don't need anything that Mexico has, but they need everything that we have.
President Donald Trump said he is not seeking to extend the Canada-U.S.-Mexico trade agreement, stating “I’m not looking to renew it.”
He also said, “We don’t need anything” that Canada or Mexico has.
As far as imports go, the USA gets:
85% of its potash
60% of its oil
50% of its aluminum
33% of its uranium
30% of its softwood lumber
From Canada.
Tell me how this means "we don't need anything Canada has."
@RepDonBacon If you want to repair the relationship with Canadians and ultimately help your own economy, start with this guy. 👇
Nothing will change as long as he is POTUS.
WOW.
Trump confirmed he doesn’t want to renew CUSMA.
He said he doesn’t need our cars, our energy, our lumber, none of it.
Congratulations Liberals.
You just obliterated Canada.
If it happens, Carney will go down as the worst PM in history.
As someone who has worked on national security vetting, the Trump Admin barring Somali referee Omar Artan entry to the US for the World Cup leads to more questions than answers.
Omar was vetted, approved, and issued a visa.
Then he landed in the United States and was suddenly deemed a national security threat.
So which is it?
Either the system failed, or someone changed the rules after the fact.
That's not how serious national security decisions should be made.
The public deserves to know what changed.
Scotland fan Michael had his ESTA travel document allowing entry to the US for the World Cup approved in March. Just 1 hour before he was due to fly out it was revoked, & dozens of other people have similar stories.
BREAKING: Trump administration claims the Somali referee was denied entry because he is a security threat to the US with links to suspected terrorists. He was questioned for 11 hours, including about Al Shabab
Omar Abdulkadir Artan just landed back in Somalia to a hero's welcome
🚨 WTF?! A USS Liberty survivor confirms President LBJ intentionally set them up to be sunk by Israel as a false flag.
He reveals Washington maliciously denied escorts and called back rescue planes twice, leaving them to die for 17 hours to appease the Zionist regime.
THE HOMELESS WORLD CUP
USA is hosting the World Cup like a country that found out yesterday it won the bid.
No national rail network connecting stadiums.
Fans treated like suspicious cargo at airports.
Hotels charging luxury prices for motel quality.
Fields looking like they were assembled from spare parts behind a Home Depot.
Homeless camps stretching across parts of major cities while politicians give lectures about how the world should function.
And this is the same country that spends every day telling everyone else how to run their country.
The real miracle of this World Cup won't be who lifts the trophy.
It will be if the fans make it from one stadium to the next without needing three flights, two rental cars, a hotel loan, and a prayer.
🚨BREAKING: Didier Drogba says if the USA didn't want other Countries citizens in the US they shouldn't have bid for the Fifa world cup 2026 and says denial of Iran supporters and Somali referee Omar Artan is totally unacceptable, Football should be separated from politics
"When a country bids to host the biggest football tournament on the planet, it knows exactly what comes with it. Players, referees, officials and supporters from every corner of the world are part of the package."
"I look at the situation involving Somali referee Omar Artan and I feel disappointed for him. FIFA selected him because he earned that opportunity on merit, yet he was unable to participate after being denied entry."
"Then you hear about Iran's football federation claiming that its supporter ticket allocation was withdrawn just days before the tournament. If true, that leaves ordinary fans paying the price for issues that have nothing to do with football."
"The people suffering are not politicians. They're supporters who save money for years hoping to follow their national team at a World Cup."
"Football has always been one of the few things capable of bringing different cultures together. The moment politics starts deciding who gets to be part of that experience, everyone loses."
"I played in World Cups and international tournaments. The beauty of those events is seeing supporters from dozens of countries sharing the same streets, the same stadiums and the same passion."
"No fan should be judged because of their nationality, and no referee should miss the biggest moment of his career because of political circumstances beyond his control."
"FIFA, governments and football authorities need to find solutions because the headlines right now are about visas, travel restrictions and disputes instead of the football itself."
"The World Cup should belong to the world. That's what makes it special. The game must always come first, and politics should never be allowed to overshadow football's greatest celebration."
A World Cup is supposed to be showcase for the host nation and this is a showcase for ‘America’. They’re showing how much they hate the world. Like China’s Olympics was a ‘coming out’ party to the world, this is a ‘party’s over’ message from ‘America’.
As a US citizen, it's time to share the honest truth. There are so many other countries more qualified for hosting the World Cup.
As expected the current status of the US government is one of complete chaos and they have made the world's most important sporting event a disaster.
There is no better country than England who could host a World Cup tomorrow if needed, because everything is in place and ready to go.
Australia would be an amazing host as the Aussies love sport, even China (which don't forget successfully hosted the 2007 Women's World Cup) would be a better host because like England and Australia, the have all the logistics in place.
But the final reason is simple, football (or soccer for the Americans) is not even a top 4 sport and there is very little buzz leading up to this tournament. It's a huge miss for FIFA and a shame to see the world's most important sporting event have this many issues before the tournament
Yeah let's give the most financially lucrative sporting event in the world to a country that hates football AND foreigners. What's the worst that could happen??
