Parents please remember the goal of providing ‘education’ for your children is more about providing a sense of routine or normal. Your primary role is still, parent. Offer them comfort, concern, caring and love - all in double doses. Be as strong as you can. They need that.

Slight change - the library is the place where the teacher/librarian lives. Without her/him it cannot pump the learning throughout the school. Every school with ‘full time’ students needs a full time teacher/librarian or librarian. Bricks and books are the start.

If your school or district level admin believe that school libraries can be replaced by _____, the problem is NOT with whatever fills that blank. The problem is the belief that libraries and librarians are replacable or unnecessary. The only solution is to prove them wrong.
