In a year where there have been many moments of disappointment & isolation, the ECIS library week has allowed me to feel part of something great. Thank you, Conference Organisers!

If you were given a gift of any twenty childrenโs picture books, what would you choose? My difficult predicament. I love so many, but hoping to be inspired by other peopleโs worldly choices.
Our beautiful early years library has sadly had no child in it for 14 months. But the magic might be back with our outdoor courtyard being transformed into an enchanting place of learning & playing. #ISAreads#INTLchat#PYPlibrary#ISAlibraries#EarlyChildhoodEducation
@glennbills@bookdepository I wonder if they are doing it to avoid a Brexit related tax that is now added? Keeping under some threshold? I hope not. Very disappointing.
@glennbills The Australian model is far from perfect. Ask the 40,000 citizens who have been left out in the cold and at great personal cost. It is nearly impossible for us to go home. A safe environment yes but one that has created a community that is lacking compassion.
@MKMerga Talking books with students has been at the heart of my work as a TL since I started Library Studies in my Dip Teaching in 1979 at what has become Edith Cowan University. From a new teacher (librarian) at Norseman DHS in WA to currently a TL at International School of Amsterdam.
For those of you in international schools looking for fabulous diverse online storytelling resources, then take a look at Story Box Library from Australia. ISAโs early childhood families especially appreciated these stories during distance learning. #storyboxlibrary#ISAreads
@PaulHamilton8 Hereโs controversial: The Lord of the Rings. If those hobbits had been female hobbits, theyโd of asked for better directions and gotten to Mount Doom in just one book.
