A5: Principals must pick up trash, sweep, mow, pull weeds..kids have to see that we will do these tasks. It’s up to ALL of us to keep our school clean! I now have kids picking up trash and cleaning up messes that aren’t theirs. Model what you expect to see in others! #LeadLAP
This is a great mindset for scaffolding students into independence in your workshops and beyond! Nothing is more powerful than watching students take charge of conferences, small groups, whole class conversations and much more! #tcrwp#studentindependence
New Teachers -- When that first tough conversation has to happen with a student or parent, seek advice from an experienced colleague who LOVES their job. Ask them how they'd handle it, have them proofread an email...They've been there, they've survived and they would LOVE to help
Today a few of my teachers worked on a bulletin board. It wasn’t their’s; it wasn’t necessarily even their hallway. But it needed to be done... and they stepped up to do it. That’s how great teachers roll. They have pride in their school. They see a need... and they fill it!
