I have heard it said, if they dont praise you show up & work anyway, or if they criticize/don't appreciate you show up & do the work anyway. I get being self driven and never giving up, but why should anyone have to work like this. Effective leaders wouldn’t create this culture.

Administrators. do you carry a post it note pad with you? Always be ready to write a quick note of thanks or inspiration to your staff! Even if you come upon an empty room, leave a note of thanks or how lucky their students are to have them as a teacher. Go ahead, make their day

So many teachers are afraid to “get into trouble” with their boss. The only time we should “get in trouble” is if we do something wrong — not for knowing our worth and communicating it, not for sticking up for ourselves, and not for demanding we be treated with respect.
