@meredithg17 Q8/A8-We can use a lot of the hooks at our school. When we have our math night we can use food as a hook. We can have guest speakers or magicians or dress up for the dance in a 60's theme. We can have our Oscar party and everyone can dress up like a Pirate.

@meredithg17 Q7/A7- I can give them some activities to do at home or the beach. Students can draw or take a picture of sea shells on the beach. They can do this with a friend. When they come back to school they can share their picture with the class.

@meredithg17 I can talk about what is going on with enthusiasm. When I show I care it makes the students, parents and co workers get involved. Positive makes positive! Its all in my attitude.
@meredithg17 When I am planning on teaching a lesson that is boring, it is my job to make it interesting. I ask other teachers for ideas, look on the web for something interesting, or I can add manipulates that involve what I am teaching to make it more hands on. A 2 or 3 minute video works.

@meredithg17 Q7 I can create an interactive day by involving all the students to use a prop in the classroom. They can introduce themselves and tell us what things they like to do. I can make a chart with the activities and we can see how many students like the same things.
