🏉🇫🇯Quel moment magnifique et quel cadeau de @fijirugby
L'équipe nous a fait l'honneur d'entonner ce chant afin de remercier les personnes présentes.
Un moment suspendu dans le temps.

I’m glad to share our new paper in the @aiaa journal on the inference of inflow condition. We evaluated the accuracy of our inviscid flow model using uncertainty quantification. Great collaborative work with @Lne_Chatzi’s group. Funded by @BRIDGE_funding. https://t.co/SWl1IwrLQ6
I love this fantastic summary video of our collaborative AeroSense project between @ost_fh, @Lne_Chatzi , @pblcenter_itet funded by @BRIDGE_funding. (If you want high quality media like this, do not hesitate to contact Damian, https://t.co/lygiTskKo4!)
My first IEEE paper! https://t.co/btfBVerr7P
It presents the hardware used for the Aerosense system we have been developing together with @pblcenter_itet , @Lne_Chatzi and @ost_fh.
@gaetan_raynaud It’s not fully real time. Data is sent in packets to a BigQuery database via a remotely controlled Raspberry Pi thanks to @balena_io. All data is neatly organized in a json format thanks to our wonderful PhD student Yuriy.
The last two weeks have been quite hectic with a presentation at #wesc2023 (the slides there: https://t.co/EXCri3AGCT), followed by submissions and revisions of articles, and in the meantime the preparation and installation of two new sensor nodes on our wind turbine!
With all this kerfuffle in Heathrow with British Airways, I was only able to find a hotel further away in Windsor. This morning, going back to the airport, I was caught into the crowd watching the changing of the guard 💂♀️ with British flags everywhere! 🇬🇧😱
Stuck at Heathrow for the night because my first flight had 35min delay and apparently according to British Airways, the 30 remaining minutes are not enough to embark in the last plane of the day to Zürich. I’ll try again tomorrow at 17:40… 😖
Plenty of interesting talks at #WESC2023 this week 🤩. I’ll also present on Friday morning (3.4b wind turbine blade aero measurements), I’ll explain how we can use standard cheap MEMS barometers to assess the pressure distribution on a wind turbine blade like this👇
Because we test multi-node measurement systems, specifically developed by @pblcenter_itet for this project, we have two sensor nodes to prepare for photogrammetry. New magnificent painting by our PhD student Yuriy from @ost_fh and @Lne_Chatzi's group. #research or #art ?
@shu_otomo I did a bit when I was testing the measurement chain and had to wait to see the results. The wonderful octopus was drawn by a colleague of mine.
Many Uni: "Let's show on social media we want to be sustainable".
Us: "OK, can we have a way to book train tickets without paying ourselves?
And do we really need 22°C in our office all year around?"
Uni: "Ah mmh, no, you understand it's complicated..."
My moaning tweet of the day: I was honestly motivated to try the long train journey to Glasgow for a conference. But at my Uni, it's really easy to book plane tickets but impossible to book any long journey train tickets if you don't do it yourself and advance the money😩
This image from today's IPCC synthesis report is brutal. The existing policy trajectory represents a profound failure of our governments, and of our international political system. We need much more aggressive mitigation and much stronger international cooperation.
