This headline in The Times today makes me very sad. Surely this ‘experiment’ cannot go ahead in 2025. @detransaqua your thoughts? Children as young as 10 to be given puberty blockers in NHS trial

@naomicfisher Years ago my late uncle, who was a teacher, responded to an old initiative (that was practically the same as this new one) with the quote ‘you don’t fatten a pig by weighing it’. Please can some leaders in the education field take over the Education Minister’s job. Please!

Jane Goodall was the best of us.
Breaking: Jane Goodall, the English primatologist and anthropologist who was considered a foremost expert on chimpanzees, has died at age 91. https://t.co/SiHKaOX38n
Jane Goodall was one of a few people to earn a PhD without an undergraduate degree.
It was thought that her lack of formal academic training would allow her to remain unbiased by traditional thought and study the chimps with an open mind.
It worked. ❤️
Primatologist, conservationist, animal advocate, educator, and National Geographic Explorer Jane Goodall has died at age 91. Goodall’s decades of research into the lives of wild chimpanzees transformed our understanding of these intelligent apes. https://t.co/i3qzfDIAzg
Today, the UN family mourns the loss of Dr. Jane Goodall.
The scientist, conservationist and UN Messenger of Peace worked tirelessly for our planet and all its inhabitants, leaving an extraordinary legacy for humanity and nature.
Rest in peace, Jane Goodall.
You taught us that kindness is a form of strength and that respect for life in all its forms is the truest measure of humanity. You will be dearly missed. 💔
