The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO) today 28th June, 2024 in response to a public report sealed off a public toilet at Ogunlana Street, Egbeda, Lagos which gave shelter to a large number of persons that could not be accounted for being bike riders.
The visit to the toilet by the agency revealed that there was a large volume of untreated wastewater was being discharged into the public drainage causing fowl smell in the community, potential source of contamination to the ground water, and unruly behaviour of the riders.
All citizens of the State are enjoined to desist from all acts of wastewater mismanagement that could potentially lead to the spread of Cholera in the State.
