100% agree. A game for the annals. In addition, there was little questionable behaviour and you could see how much the teams respected each other, including in how they all congratulated each other (and even prayed together) at the end! 🇨🇵❤️🏴
I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who missed the France vs. England game, because they literally missed one of the greatest spectacles imaginable.
England absolutely tore France apart in the first half. Thomas Tuchel pinned France’s defense back with Rogers, Toney, and Saka, stretched the game through the full-backs and Rashford on the wings, and repeatedly exploited runs in behind the defense. The result? England scored 4 goals in a stunning first-half display.
Deschamps refused to let his France career end in humiliation. He brought on Upamecano, Dembélé, and Barcola, moved Olise into a central role, and everything changed. France fought back to score 4 goals of their own. England responded with 2 more and eventually won 6-4.
A game featuring 10 goals, 14 big chances created, 38 shots, 2 goals after the 90th minute, and a Bukayo Saka hat-trick. This wasn’t just a football game—it was an international football festival.
One of the greatest World Cup games ever played. A game for the history books. ❤️

An important event hosted by the @AfDB_Group! Very glad @FCDOGovUK@BritishIntInv@UKEF and @BritGeoSurvey are joining to discuss how best to partner with African countries on strategic critical minerals value chains to drive growth, manufacturing and job creation.
#Happening: Africa holds nearly 30% of the world's critical mineral reserves—yet retains little of their value. Today, in #Abidjan, African leaders and partners will commit to changing that through local value addition:
