Lula's vice president is Brazil's Mitt Romney. If Lula were a politician in the US or EU -- or if these people actually read about and understood Brazil as a real place rather than condescendingly treating it as some South American fairy tale -- they'd all be scorning Lula as a neoliberal servant of bankers, capital, and global capitalism.
