@rockyfernandez This is more than double that stimulus, and also has min wage increase which will put way more $$ into peoples pockets. How is that not big? Yes, something could always be bigger - but also has less chance of passing - this is not austerity.
@rockyfernandez Also you have the infrastructure and jobs bills coming up. I think this is good for not using up all political capital while putting expectations in place for more checks down the line, can move on to infrastructure/jobs in meantime
@rockyfernandez Don’t think so - look at the child payments - they start out small and temporary but in a year you will have to renew them because of 2022, after that expand it. It’s Trojan horsing it a bit / playing the long game
@rockyfernandez It’s not small, and can be built off of. CTC is huge.If it passes people get checks, if it doesn’t than it means they wouldn’t have gotten any more regardless. Sets them up nicely for 2022. Need to make the populace accustomed to expecting money rather than go all in on one bill
