Funny how folks never seem to realize that the Levitical Law is setting up the policies for a theocratic ethno-state. Gosto do termo que usaste feliz, "classe política portuguesa." Tal como no resto da Europa, esse milleu trabalha directamente contra os interesses das populações nativas.

How does anyone fall for this? Mélenchon has nothing to say about France because he does not believe France should exist, that is, as the national home of the French people. He is openly genocidal against his own population and seeks to tranform the country's culture in some form of crioule homogeneous blob.

I often think about this whenever I hear American right-wingers talk. And I listen to them complain for hours on end about this group or that ideology, without any attempt at self-reflection. Which is not a call to abandon ones beliefs, but consider how they were applied in any particular time and place.
There will always be bad faith actors, propagandists. There will always be satan. But how does satan get in the hearts and minds of people, that seems foreign concern to them. Of course, frequently they will themselves be a vehicle for him.
Those who fight only the world and never themselves will always be not far from doom.
I would suggest a correction, though: the Christian traditionalists or conservatives tend to point to the 1950s as the epoch to restore. I think even their conception of the 1980s as the last attempt at doing that.
