🇺🇸 Happy #America250! Do you know the difference: Patriotism vs. Nationalism?
“…patriotism results in activism like that of John Lewis crossing the Edmund Pettus Bridge to demand that the country live up to its professed ideals. Nationalism results in tragedies like the January 6th invasion of the Capitol, where Confederate flags and crosses were seen in the same mob.” 🧵
Celebrating 250 years of American resilience, innovation, and freedom! From the very beginning to the farthest reaches of space, our spirit endures. Wishing a spectacular Happy #4thofJuly to every American. Let Freedom Ring!

Getting ready for your July Fourth weekend? We are still soaring from our Grand Opening ceremony – and enjoying this video of an unexpected guest with a birds-eye view.
A few of our eagle-eyed guests caught sight of an actual bald eagle flying overhead during the ceremony.
There’s more to learn: Some bald eagles are known to be nesting at Park 597 near the Calumet River, where two eaglets were recently spotted.
Be sure to send us your nickname ideas for the bald eagle, along with any sightings of your own!
And Happy Independence Day!
One year ago, 218 House Republicans voted for the largest cut to healthcare in American history just to give a tax cut to billionaires.
This November, Democrats will take back power and fight to restore healthcare funding.

Celebrating America 250, we should remember that the America we celebrate is richer, stronger, and more united when every community sees itself in our shared story. Patriotism means telling the whole American story. Our national parks, public lands, and historic places belong to all of us because our history belongs to all of us.

America has always been a work in progress.
What has carried our nation forward is not the absence of challenges, but the willingness of ordinary people to meet them with hope, courage, and action.
As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday this weekend, we must continue to fight for one another, our democracy, and the promise of what we can build together.
On July 2, 1964, the Civil Rights Act was enacted, marking a milestone for justice and equality in the United States 🇺🇸. Today, we honor the heroes who fought for these ideals and reaffirm our collective commitment to defending civil rights and continuing their vital mission.
62 years ago today, President Johnson signed the landmark Civil Rights Act into law.
As the Trump administration continues to attack civil rights, Democrats will keep fighting back—and we won’t stop until liberty and justice becomes a reality for all Americans.
The unemployment rate for young Americans is 2x the national average. AI is only .01% of job losses.
It’s really the uncertain Trump economy. US employers don't know how it's going to affect their businesses and are hesitant to hire. And wages are lower now because of it. “Measures of uncertainty are at an all-time high.” #DemsAbroad
