It is time for the United States Postal Service to ban junk mail.

Unsolicited spam calls are already prohibited by the FCC. Emails are heavily regulated by the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. Junk mail is the majority of mail, 100 million trees per year. Enough!

Deep in the darkness of the human mind, there is a quite place where every man and woman of the modern world refuses to go. To exist there is to abandon all preconceptions and acknowledge truth. The truth is that we are all trivial, we are all flawed, we are all failures when compared to our own expectations of who we should be. Our children are absolved of these failings because their identity is fluid and dependent, in large part, on our expectations of them. They are the innocent. This is why children are the constant pawns in all human conflict. They are the only part of humanity, that if able to survive on their own would become the perfect reflection of what was required to survive in their environment. Children are the gatekeepers of that dark and quiet place.

It should be humanity's goal to protect our children (every child). Once we have achieved that goal, only then will our true destiny be revealed. The answers to the big questions of "why are we here?", "what purpose in the universe do we serve?" can only be answered by the guardianship of our most innocent self. Repeated through generations upon generations of unlimited potential, our children will eventually divine the true course of human existence and purpose.

In a world obsessed with self-gratification, we have lost sight of our most basic and primitive directive. We have lost sight of who we are as a species and our fundamental obligation. We are entrapped by economics, politics, entertainment, and the social cause d'jure; which are always quietly leading our collective thought away from the truth. Humanity will never be who we desire to be without first committing ourselves to the everlasting tenant of protecting our children from harm.
