I chaired a meeting on the operationalisation of the Ronald Ngala Campus of Kenya Utalii College in Kilifi County to review progress made and align efforts towards the full rollout of academic and training programmes at the institution.

We assessed the status of ongoing infrastructure works, the settlement and integration of the pioneer cohort of students, the commissioning of the Main Kitchen and preparations for the planned Presidential visit, which will mark the official opening of the campus.

The visit will also witness the signing of a partnership agreement with Kenya Utalii College and the flagging off of 500 seafarers, underscoring the Government’s commitment to expanding opportunities for skills development, employment and global competitiveness.

The successful operationalisation of the Ronald Ngala Campus remains a priority. Through close collaboration across Government, we will ensure the institution becomes a centre of excellence in hospitality, tourism and maritime training, supporting the growth of our tourism sector and empowering the next generation of professionals.

In moments such as these, words often fall short. We can only give thanks for the life he lived, the service he rendered and the lives he touched along the way.
