@SteveStubbsman @VilifiedPeanut It barely lights anything. Rear projection always had additional light sources. With the volume, the LEDs provide both the background and the entire lighting environment, which it's why it integrates so much better than rear projection or green screen.

@HFrommi @MickWest The fact that it's much larger makes a huge difference. The weight increases with a cube of the height. Tall structures are inherently a lot more unstable.
So it wouldn't just collapse in half like you seem to argue. It's much more like dominos or a house of cards.

Dropped by @artechouse in Houston, TX this weekend for the premiere of Fractal Worlds — a fractal-based film I had the pleasure of collaborating on with the incredible (and dear friend!) @JuliusHorsthuis

It was my first time experiencing one of my works live at Artechouse, and man… “immersive” doesn’t even begin to describe it. Being surrounded by those ultra–high-res screens and enveloped in their L-Acoustics L-ISA Hyperreal Sound system - 31 audio channels (!!!) precisely choreographed for a full 360° experience - was absolutely mind-blowing. 🤓

If you’re in the area, definitely check it out - it’s truly something special.

The exhibition runs through March 2026.
