Grade 7 Science - We are learning to identify the impact of human activities on the ecosystem. Each mini ecosystem has a human factor in it (acid,oil, sand, cleaning products, heavy metal, etc.).

The ON Gov't has announced that all schools will move to virtual learning beginning April 19. This is in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

On Holocaust Memorial Day, our grade 8’s heard an emotional presentation from Dori Ekstein about her father’s experience in the holocaust. Her father’s message reminds us to stand up against hatred. @yrdsbinclusion
Our classes made a pledge to protect water #WorldWaterDay2021 and are mailing almost 200 petition letters to the Prime Minister urging him to put a stop to the water crisis in Indigenous communities.
Earlier this month, YRDSB hosted its first conference for Muslim students.
The 3-day virtual conference, PILLARS to Well-Being, took place Mar 2-4 and focused on MH and well-being, along with affirming Muslim identity.
