Our new report found that for NYC teens ages 13 to 17, one of the main reasons for vaping was “to calm down or manage stress.” Vaping may also worsen stress and mental health symptoms due to nicotine withdrawal.

Today we released a new report on vaping among youth and young adults in NYC, with recommendations on how to address this issue. Despite declines in cigarette smoking, new data show vaping persists among teens and young adults.
