I'm not convinced there is going to be a specific 40th Anniversary Zelda Direct this year.

However, Tears of the Kingdom released in 2023. Work on the next mainline Zelda has been happening for years at this point.

We might even see more Zelda Switch 2 Editions.

Nintendo removed the description of The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake.

This no longer appears: "Experience Ocarina of Time with stunning visuals, updated designs, and timeless gameplay."

This might've been something meant for a later trailer.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the best selling Zelda game (all versions combined) until the Switch released.

Ocarina of Time (N64/3DS): 14+ Million
Breath of the Wild (Switch) - 33.74 Million
Tears of the Kingdom (Switch) - 22.56 Million

Despite the description that Nintendo removed, it's too soon to say what The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake will be like.

It could be similar to the N64/3DS versions, completely different or somewhere in the middle.

What I do know is remaking Ocarina of Time isn't going to be taken lightly at Nintendo.
