Boundaries, entitlement, and unconscious bias: 8 singular thoughts on #IWD2019 that I will share with my daughter. But I will take a pound, not a penny to #balanceforbetter. A thread.

Depression is a thing. So is anxiety.
It could look like high-functioning depression, intermittent insomnia, or so many other things. Low lows can be buried in the drone of productivity including back-to-back fire posts on social media.
Integrity is the currency that life is made of. Where many rising leaders get cut off in their ascendency is on this issue. Whatever you do, let your words be dependable. Let there be unity between your words and actions. It will speak volumes for you when you’re not in the room!
Tests of character: how you handle rejection, how you handle promixity to power, what you do when you have power over a bitter rival, what you do when no one is watching, what you say behind someone’s back, and whether you do what you promise...What else?
Whether you do what you promise, and when you fail to do it, whether you own up to it and apologize—not casually, but honestly. What does integrity look like?
Thank you - vision is key. Without it, we will wallow in self-pity. We did not make Nigeria “third world;” we were simply born to a country often given that label. Best believe we have the first-rate thinking and grit to bring about the Nigeria we want.
.@JumyTweets calls for a Nigeria where the prospect of social mobility is no longer a shattered dream for young Nigerians. This video is a sad reminder that our government indeed unleashed force on Nigerians citizens peacefully protesting and saying #notopolicebrutality
Thank you for the shoutout. Knowing our history and how it has gotten us where we are today should prompt us to think twice about the seeds we are planting now.
.@JumyTweets "We need to reset our minds - from job security to employment security so the labour market can be trained, reskilled & be in a position to consistently contribute to the economy. Young people are agents of this change." #JobsReset

Titles Don't Make Leaders📌
True leadership is never about authority or power. It's about helping others grow, and that's something anyone can do.
“When your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.”
