Sammi Deen Baloch of BYC has been confined in Central Jail under MPO issued by PPP led Sindh Govt. Remand hearing of @SammiBaluch and others was shifted to Central Jail in the name of security but the plan was to arrest and detain them under MPO. The Learned Judicial Magistrate discharged all five accused in the FIR registered yesterday. As soon as the accused were discharged and ordered to be released the Police started waving the MPO order. While Sammi surrendered and wilfully gave her arrest the whereabouts of four others Lala Wahab, Raziq, Sultan and Shahdad are unknown. Sammi is to be kept at Central Jail for 30 days. This is the democracy @BBhuttoZardari lectures on. We will be challenging the MPO in High Court tomorrow and it must be mentioned that the independence of the Constitutional Benches is questionable as seen in previous judgments made in relation to rights of Baloch Activists.
We echo concerns about the arrest of human rights defender @MahrangBaloch_, one of @TIME’s #TIME100Next, over the weekend in Pakistan.
We call for her and other peaceful protesters’ immediate and unconditional release from prison. #ReleaseMahrangBaloch
I am disturbed and concerned about the detention of Mahrang Baloch. She represents millions of voiceless people — women and children — who are facing human rights violations in Baluchistan and Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. It is her right to protest and speak out for the most vulnerable people — and she must be immediately released. I stand with Mahrang Baloch. #ReleaseMahrangBaloch
#KarachiPressClub right now is blocked to stop the Civil Society and the BYC from protesting about Mahrang Baloch's illegal abduction and jailing.
This just shows how insecure undemocratic governments are despite the police and army they have.

Shame.
If your journalism is silent on Balochistan and Sindh, you should seriously reconsider whether it represents the oppressed or acts as a spokesperson for the state.
Dr. @MahrangBaloch_ the @NobelPrize nominee is still under the arrest of Pakistani security forces along her colleagues. Pakistani forces do not act accordance with the law, This is a matter of serious concern, no information of their whereabouts being shared with family and friends.

They fired bullets. They hurled tear gas. They beat the unarmed. They took three lives. Then, they arrested Mahrang Baloch, convinced that if they silenced her, everything else would fall apart. The protests would die down. The people would retreat. The resistance would fade.
But Balochistan doesn’t forget so easily. The next day, across the province, people poured into the streets—not in fear, but in defiance. The sit-ins continued. The state had done everything it could, yet the people stood their ground.
So, it was time for a different approach. The fourth crackdown began in the night, the perfect hour for silencing truth. First, they cut the internet and jammed networks—no videos, no calls for help, no evidence. Then, under the cover of darkness, they moved in.
Tear gas filled the air, blanketing the streets. Security forces swarmed the sit-in, dragging people into vans. But this time, something extra was added to the script. Among the uniformed forces, men in plain clothes spread through the crowd. They fired into the night. They smashed shops, set fires, shattered windows. And by morning, the news would be ready: “Brave police endured BYC’s violence”
The government, ever the victim, would now claim it had no choice but to respond. The state’s guns? Just self-defense. The bodies? An unfortunate consequence. The fires? Well, who can say how these things start?
And by morning, a freshly polished press conference of authorities would unfold, complete with a beautifully crafted script.

Disturbing reports are coming from Quetta as police have launched a violent crackdown on BYC activists, with more than 100 arrested. Authorities are now actively hunting BYC's top leadership. Meanwhile, internet services have been shut down in Quetta.
Overwhelmed by the tangled chaos of Syria’s reignited proxy war? Global powers with their fingers deep in the conflict are scrambling to spin the narrative. Here’s a breakdown of the main players—what they stand for, and whose side of the geopolitical chessboard they’re on.
My brother Saddam Baloch has been missing for the last 11 years, trapped in the hell of torture cells. Each day that passes is a silent scream.
11 years of life frozen in the shadows of torture cells—years of agony, resilience, and the silent battle for freedom.
