Jamshed Zahoor Paul and Parvez Rashid, two Kashmiri men, spent 8 years in custody facing serious UAPA and Arms Act charges, with the prosecution alleging links to ISIS or Daesh, claiming they were procuring weapons from Uttar Pradesh, communicating via BBM chats, and receiving funds for terror activities. Yet, the Patiala House Court found that these claims were not proven, noting there was no evidence linking them to ISIS-JK or any terrorist organisation, no proof of conspiracy, and no material showing they acquired weapons or prepared for any attack. The court also flagged serious inconsistencies, including unexplained FIR numbers appearing on seizure documents, raising doubts about the integrity of the investigation. If such basic facts could not be established after 8 years, what exactly was the Delhi Police Special Cell doing all this time, and who will take responsibility for the irreversible damage done to these men and their families?

Only 4000 odd people from kashmir division have been able to make ews certificate in past 5 years compared to 40,000+ in jammu.

This is not just about a few fake EWS certificates. The real issue is the deeply flawed EWS criteria in J&K.
If EWS is meant for 10% of the population, at least 15 lakh people in J&K should qualify. Yet an arbitrary residential asset condition (1000 sq ft) has made the quota virtually inaccessible for genuinely poor families; especially among the Kashmiri ethnic population, where even the poorest often exceed this vague threshold.

We raised this issue with the government over a year ago.
No corrective action has followed.

A welfare provision cannot be
designed in a way that excludes the very poor it claims to help.

This table lays out the truth starkly. Over the past six years, nearly one lakh jobs have been systematically taken away under the cover of a draconian reservation policy. We all saw the scale of anger on ground from Jammu politicians over 40 odd seats, yet in comparison our so called politicians/representatives remain unmoved while this open misappropriation of jobs & admissions continues as recruitments roll on unchecked.

This cannot be normalised. Enough is enough. Something has to give !

Watch this eye-opener video. Aspirants who allegedly used fake certificates just got selected in JKAS yesterday. Merit is being murdered in broad daylight while genuine hardworking candidates get robbed of their chance. How long will this fraud continue?
