The welcome remarks were delivered by @ClementNwankwo, Executive Director of @PLACNG.

In his remarks, he reflected on the process that led to the development of the draft litigation manual. He also recalled the human rights litigation cases of the 1980s and 1990s, when activists and lawyers used the courts as a platform to protest and challenge the military dictatorship of that era.

He noted that the objective of the meeting is to review the draft and ensure it becomes a practical and accessible guide for lawyers, civil society actors, and other stakeholders seeking to use the courts to advance human rights and public interest litigation in Nigeria.
