BREAKING: Troy QB & Former Montgomery Catholic Star Caleb McCreary @1kCmac has committed to Tennessee State University.

McCreary will have all four years of eligibility after redshirting in 2024. In high school he had 12,156 yards and 164 touchdowns. At Troy he redshirted and saw action unfortunately.

In high school in 2024, he was named Alabama 4A Back of the Year finalist following his senior season at Montgomery Catholic ... Passed for 9,549 yards and 125 touchdowns in his career, while rushing for 2,607 yards and 39 touchdowns on 295 carries ... Three-time all-state selection ... Selected to play in the Alabama North-South All-Star Game ... Helped lead the Knights to a combined 56-4 record, including a 15-0 mark as a senior and a Alabama 4A State Championship ... Named MVP of the state title game after completing 9-of-14 passes for 60 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 197 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries in Montgomery Catholic's 35-0 victory over Cherokee County ... Threw for 3,050 yards and 36 touchdowns as a freshman ... As a senior, rushed for 1,171 yards and 24 touchdowns; topped the 100-yard mark in 7-of-13 games ... Final two seasons, threw 61 touchdown passes to just five interceptions, add his sophomore season and the number is 89 touchdowns and nine interceptions ... Consensus three-star recruit ... Former Montgomery Catholic Star Caleb McCreary @1kCmac is leaving Troy for the Transfer Portal.

Caleb will have all four years of eligibility after being redshirted in '24. Prior to Troy he accounted for 12,156 yards and 164 touchdowns in prep ball. As well as winning the 4A state title in 2023 and being named 4A Champ MVP.
