BREAKING: Senator Mark Warner, vice chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, joins a chorus of growing alarm over MAGA Speaker Mike Johnson's endangering of national security to please Trump.

Warner stated he was "flabbergasted" by Johnson's decision to remove Republican Representative Mike Turner from his position as head of the House Intelligence Committee.

"I don’t have the foggiest idea why he was removed. Maybe because he was such a stalwart supporter of Ukraine and willing to push back against Putin," Warner said to reporters.

The explanation for Johnson's decision is simple. He's pandering to Donald Trump. Mike Turner is a strong proponent of NATO and supports Ukraine's fight to expel the Russian invasion. Trump despises NATO and praises Putin.

Worse still for Turner, he dared to vote against Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 election in Arizona and Pennsylvania. Because he dared to stand up for our democracy he's being stripped of his committee chairmanship — and America is less safe because of it.
