My hot take as a (STEM) instructor is that you should have read the textbook chapter ahead of it actually being covered in class to effectively get the most out of lectures. Lecture should not be the first time you’re encountering concepts. That’s the point of the textbook.
people on the computer complaining that getting arrested is "performative" or a "photo op"- yes, celebrities and high profile people getting arrested is an effective and intentional protest strategy so the media and public can't ignore or cover up the action.
it is an unwritten rule of life that after every prolonged period of hardship and uncertainty, there is going to be a period when you are going to achieve quantum leaps across multiple areas of your life. the only requirement is that you do not give up on yourself.
There’s a heavy theme with this particular upcoming Full Moon around the realization that you do not do not to be “complete” to get into a relationship. “I’ll be ready for a relationship when-“ mindset causes more harm than good. Whether its “i need to heal”, “i need to get my life together” “i need to achieve this”… relationships do not require this healed, perfect version of you. In fact often times you become that healed, complete version of yourself through getting in a relationship.
The fact that people compare this to teaching boys about their first erection proves the point. Periods aren’t sexual, they’re a normal part of growing up, and kids shouldn’t be taught to feel ashamed or weird about them. This is exactly why normalizing these conversations matters.
Hardest thing about being in a relationship is having to regard your partner’s perspective with respect even if it’s the dumbest shit you ever heard in your life lmao
I love romanizing a hookup session.
Playing music. Mood lighting. Pouring drinks. Being inquisitive bout who they are. Giving a massage. Cuddling. Feeding them. Laughing together. Kissing. Laying in bed & talking or sleeping afterwards.
It’s not for everyone but is for me.
There’s another level to this for me and it’s loving them fully while also being super aware that he’s just some guy at the same time, that’s why I always say attachment is blind love isn’t, attachment idolizes, and love chooses while seeing every flaw fully but idk
I think we villainise incompatibility too much. Not everybody is for you and that's totally fine. Incompatibility isn't harm. The harm comes from forcing connections and the ugliness from that process. Learn to see incompatibility as misalignment and let people go early enough
Full grown adults that can’t swim, cycle, skate, backpack, take a gap year, vacation, play an instrument or speak multiple foreign languages. Just a lifetime of hustling and trying to leave survival mode. These are subtle poverty metrics that no one really talks about
