Team APJS / SLP skiing team have landed safely in France. We are in close contact with staff over there and it looks like everyone is having a fantastic time! Scenery looks stunning. Fantastic opportunity for our children.

This week some of our Year 5/6 took part in a 7 a side football tournament against other schools in the Stanley area. We played great and gave it 100% against some really strong teams. Well done.

Our last morning, cleaning down our equipment then tunneling for Strachen team and team games for Tabei. We’ve had an amazing time. Thank you @UllswaterCentre

Just a snippet of how our evenings have been spent at @UllswaterCentre Although we’ve had the best time away, we have missed our families and can’t wait to be reunited tomorrow 🥰

Team Strachen’s last full day at @UllswaterCentre We put our teamwork skills to the test rowing across the lake against the wind before lunch and boiling our own water for hot choc to warm us up. We spent the afternoon gorge walking and this evening orienteering in the dark.

Day 3 -Strachen team enjoyed a morning of canoeing on the lake before a spot of lunch. Our afternoon was spent rock climbing. We identified our own challenges and shared how we’ve overcome them with the support of our team.

Some highlights from our conservation work - making bugs nests and gathering logs from a fallen tree. Some incredible teamwork guys!

Day 3 - Tabei team worked together to row across the lake, where we geared up and tested our resilience inside the tunnels. We teamed up for some conservation work then rode a power boat back to site for a well earned meal and some independent orienteering. Well done team!

Day 2 - Tabei Team ventured out to go gorge walking today. We played some team-building games in the woods and got thoroughly soaked in the gorge. Our teamwork and determination was rewarded with a meal around the fire, including some hot chocolate and marshmallows ☕️😋

Team Strachen climbed to the top of Hallin Fell today. It took resilience and determination but we did it with pride. Our efforts were rewarded with an evening cook out followed by hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows around the camp fire

Tabei team also testing their resilience in the jogging dip - special well done to Jayden, Harry and Lucas for taking a full dive!

We took some of our year 6 pupils to a 5 aside football tournament alongside other schools in the Derwentside area. Although we didn't win we got a few goals and had a great evening. Excellent sporting spirit all round. We are very proud! Well done!

After a fabulous disco, Class 3/4 enjoyed a lovely party tea this afternoon. Thank you for all of your contributions. We've got some left for tomorrow too!
