Wack100 has repeatedly told a story about trying to confront/“get the drop on” 50 Cent in Los Angeles during the mid-2000s (around the height of the 50 Cent vs. The Game/G-Unit tension), only to back off when he saw 50’s high-level security‼️.
According to Wack100 (told in interviews and clips, including on Cam Capone News and earlier Clubhouse/podcast appearances around 2022 and again in 2024)‼️:
- Someone tipped him off that 50 Cent was at a hotel bar in LA (he’s mentioned the SLS Hotel or a nearby spot like the Le Meridien / a place near the Beverly Center)‼️.
- Wack pulled up with a crew of roughly 10–15 people, intending to confront or “crash out” on him (in street terms, press him / jump him / handle business tied to the ongoing beefs of that era)‼️.
- When they walked in, they found 50 protected by what Wack described as Navy SEALs (or SEAL-type operators)—about 6 of them positioned in all directions‼️.
- The security detail was fully kitted: tactical gear, body armor/vests, guns strapped to their thighs, radios/walkies in their ears, and magazines/ammo visible‼️. They were moving professionally and strategically, not like regular street bodyguards‼️.
- Wack said 50 looked back at them and smirked‼️. At that point his crew decided “today’s not the day,” realized 50 “ain’t slipping” and “moves different,” and retreated without approaching or engaging‼️. Wack has said he’s glad it never happened‼️.
50 Cent has addressed the general idea of his security setup in interviews (without always naming Wack specifically)‼️. He has talked about layering protection, contingency plans, and moving in a more professional/military-style way rather than pure street fashion so that potential problems realize “this is the other stuff.”‼️ He has also employed serious security over the years, including people with military or elite backgrounds‼️.
The story is classic hip-hop lore from that era‼️Wack frames it as respect for how locked-down and prepared 50 was, while some listeners view it as Wack admitting they got out-maneuvered or chickened out‼️.
Whichever way, Hip-hop didn't lose a soul‼️
