The Law Society of Kenya strongly condemns the shocking arrest of Chief Justice Emeritus @dkmaraga and environmental activists protesting the irregular allocation of 76 acres of Nairobi National Park. Bundling a retired head of our Judiciary into a police vehicle for peacefully opposing a Sh42 Billion project, reportedly pushed through without public participation, is a direct assault on the civic space guaranteed under Article 37 of the Constitution. National heritage sites are not state property to barter behind closed doors.
The LSK will not stand by while police force is weaponized against constitutional defenders. We have immediately dispatched an LSK legal team to Lang’ata Police Station to secure the unconditional release of the activists, and I commend the CJ Emeritus for refusing to leave custody until all those arrested with him are freed. We demand an immediate end to the harassment of civic actors and a transparent public audit of the Bomas expansion plan. The @LawSocietyofKe remains firmly on the frontlines to protect our laws and our land.
Affordable housing cannot become a cover for land grabbing.
The Auditor General has flagged projects built on public and community land without proper ownership records, legal processes, or public participation. Kenyans deserve answers.
I have formally demanded a Senate inquiry. Public land is not for plunder. Accountability must come before construction. #StopLandGrabbing #ReKe
Shakira and Hanifa better have a good response to this.
If the timeline provided is accurate, it proves that the party tried to resolve this but she chose to walk away but still continued to mud Maraga's name online.
She better have a good response.
Kenyans deserve justice that is transparent, reasoned, and accountable.
Today, I have petitioned the Judicial Service Commission @jsckenya to investigate three Court of Appeal judges who suspended High Court orders blocking the Kenya-US Health Cooperation Framework, but withheld their reasons for doing so until October 2026.
My concern is not that they ruled against me. It is that an immediately enforceable decision was issued without reasons, effectively frustrating a timely appeal to the @THE_SCOK and denying Kenyans meaningful access to justice.
Judicial independence must be protected. But independence and accountability must go hand in hand. No institution is above the Constitution.

So the stealing has reached Kenya Law Reports? One has to pay through ecitizen to download a ruling or judgment. We tolerate a lot of nonsense as Kenyans. Madam @CJMarthaKoome please have this nonsense by @MyKenyaLaw stopped pronto!
The next incredible chapter of this football club is written ❤️
We’ll be in Europe for the first time in our 127-year history next season 🌎
On to Sunday for one final push to find out which competition 💪
KSL shouldn't stress you. Sleep for at least 7 hrs, rise and sleep at the same time everyday. Exercise and socialize. Be attentive in class. Perfect your projects. Orals are almost a lottery. Focus more on communication & confidence than content. 5 - 4 weeks to exams or whatever period works best for you, get a study mate who's more focused than you and go through all past papers from 2016. Don’t even pressure yourself to answer them. Just read and master the patterns. Then revise with your short notes alone. Write exams with confidence and no expectations. Don't think for too long before you answer. Time management is key in the exam room. Always remember that not everything is within your control. Wait for CLE to do their thing.
