In 1999, a farmer gave away 87 acres of land to a small Texas city to use as a park. The city sold it to a data center developer for $10 million. https://t.co/7HERZip2A3
Women have been saying for years that there is a growing backlash against gender equality, and every time the conversation comes up we’re told we’re imagining it.
Now the United Nations is saying it.
According to a UN report, nearly 1 in 4 countries reported setbacks in women’s rights and gender equality. Hundreds of millions of women and girls are living in conflict zones, violence against women remains widespread, and UN officials are warning about a growing backlash against women’s rights worldwide.
The part that stands out to me isn’t even the statistics. It’s that women have been raising concerns about misogyny, online hostility toward women, violence, and attacks on reproductive rights for years, only to be dismissed as overreacting.
If the UN Secretary-General is warning about the “mainstreaming of misogyny,” maybe it’s time to stop pretending these concerns came out of nowhere.
Do you think women’s rights are genuinely facing setbacks, or do you think organizations like the UN are exaggerating the problem?
plenty of black ppl understand the importance of jury duty & participated as well. it’s actually very tacky for some of you to sit here & blame black ppl for not taking it serious when certain cases avoids selecting them

Launch day! Welcome to The Black Grief Project, an artist-led initiative exploring the expansiveness of Black grief through story, memory & community. Founded by me! I'm calling this initiative a tribute to Black aliveness because loss + life are an infinite circle.
I’m gonna be real alot of you don’t think enough. When girls say that “no one told us motherhood was hard” I’m like baby… you have never thought of all the things your parents had to do for you? You never once were like I don’t wanna sacrifice all that? Like BE OBSERVANT,

i personally feel like folks (especially women) are blowing their youth trying to psychoanalyze men instead of getting hot and enjoying life. Men don't care about the impact of their own actions, why tf you do??
