What are your favorite baseball urban legends/conspiracies?

Mine is that during Cal Ripken’s streak, the Orioles canceled a game due to “power outage”. Legend has it that Ripken walked in on Kevin Costner with his wife and was unable to make it to the game that day, leaving the Orioles to come up with an excuse to cancel the game so it would not affect The Streak.
