Hello #BookTwitter. Tonight I joined Bluesky - as @junobaker.bsky.social - and started looking for people, but oh there are so many of you there!
(And some not!)
I'd love to connect with you there to talk about #books#History#HistoricalFiction and other lovely stuff.
We're delighted to share the cover of the forthcoming issue 51 vol 2 of The Stinging Fly, featuring some of the very best new writers and new writing, and beautiful cover artwork by Hazel Coonagh.
We'll be celebrating the publication of the issue at 8pm on Thursday November 28th in Hen's Teeth, Dublin 8, and would love to see you there🥂
A peaceful start to what will be a hectic week, looking across the Tweed towards the curving expanse of Spittal beach and beyond, to the golden light falling upon the castle mounds at Bamburgh and Lindisfarne.
Chuffed to bits to see the event at @BookCornerHX is sold out - thank you so much for buying tickets. Can’t wait to chat to Kevin from @Ofmooseandmen & meet everyone in Halifax 💙📚💙

@Legends_of_Page@SeasideGothic Hi, I'm not sure if I'm in a position to give tips except for always to read a magazine before you submit to see what they like and whether your work fits. But you've probably done that already
Great to come home from work to find issue 12 of @SeasideGothic waiting for me. My memories of a fishman are on page 42. Can't wait to read all the other #stories and #POEMS

I'm really happy to be unblocked again and able to help spread the word about this event honouring those of both sides who fought in the battles and sieges of Worcester in the civil wars.
If you're in the area it'll be well worth attending—please share some pics here if you do!
#OnThisDay 30 August 1652 Sir Edward Massey escaped from the Tower of London by climbing up a chimney. Massey had been a Parliamentarian during the First Civil War, but switched sides after Charles I's execution and was captured after the Battle of Worcester. #17thCentury#OTD
Made it to Diane at Wave of Nostalgia bookshop in Haworth and we're both very excited. The burst of sunshine and energy in this beautiful place is quite a tonic for my tired head. I'm going to miss this tour so much...
We’re now able to confirm restoration dates for some of our key services.
You’ll be able to access more content, view digitised manuscripts and request items remotely again this September.
