Hello! We are the Juntos Lab at Loyola University Chicago and we are interested in understanding the lived experiences of immigrant-origin and Latinx adolescents in the context of families, schools, and communities.
Our lab is working on translating our work and dissemination to the community; we are starting here, by highlighting the infographics composed by one of our undergraduate researchers @jetzemanysanch2
I am accepting applications for PhD students! If you are interested in learning about adolescents' immigration experiences, social belonging and exclusion, and neighborhood contexts, the Juntos Lab is the best fit for you! If you are interested, please email me, and we can chat!
Lastly, our research efforts will inform the development of family-community-based prevention and intervention programs to reduce social exclusion and psychosocial maladjustment as adolescents transition into adulthood.

Our projects aim to deepen our understanding of how Latinx immigrant-origin adolescents process oppressive efforts and identify the risk and protective factors impacting their successful inclusion in the United States.
