To all my fellow trans people out there in states that seek to villainize us.. stay strong. The next 4+ long years will test us, as hateful politicians and individuals feel even more empowered than before to deny us not just our rights but also our basic dignity and humanity.
[This includes you too women, as undoubtedly women’s rights and rights to choose may likely be diminished even further by men who seek to control you, convinced they know more about you, your mind and your body, and it’s their right to speak for you]
Ngl.. It’s quite heartbreaking to see this country drift from the ideals it was built upon…
The Declaration of Independence states that “all men are created equal” and are “endowed with certain unalienable Rights,” including “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Even the Constitution’s Preamble calls on us “to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility.. promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity” These founding words alone established a vision of equality, justice, and unity for all.. a vision that so many have fought for and some even lost their lives to make a reality over the centuries since the founding of this nation.
And yet, in the recent decade, we’ve watched as these founding principles and the struggle over the centuries to strengthen and expand them to all, have been eroded away, piece by piece. The rights which so many of us grew up believing in, the rights we were taught to cherish, now face systematic undoing by those who aim to divide us. This is especially painful for those of us old enough who remember a time when decency, fairness, and respect for all people still felt like guiding values.
Today, those who in the past once lurked in the darkest shadows and were outcast by the greater society and denied spreading fear and hate, have been free to instead step into the limelight with confidence, using their platform to rally the very same society that once was against them to instead rally against us and against the core principles of equality and liberty this country was founded upon and seek to revert our nation back to darker times.
These are people who seek to turn back the clock on equality, spreading lies and fueling prejudice against anyone who doesn’t fit their narrow definition of “acceptable.” It’s a betrayal of the American spirit and of the basic decency that should bind us as humans, not just in America but everywhere.
We owe it to ourselves, to each other, and to everyone who came before us to stand up and continue the fight. We are still here, still standing, and still worthy of every right and freedom this country once promised to all its people.
As founding father and political philosopher Thomas Paine said, “It is a perversion of terms to say that a charter gives rights. It operates by a contrary effect — that of taking rights away. Rights are inherently in all the inhabitants...”
Meaning, our rights aren’t granted by those in power.. they are inherent to who we are. True rights come from simply being human, not from any government or institution, they aren’t privileges to be handed out based on someone else’s approval or judgment. Thomas Paine way back in then understood that documents and laws should protect these rights, not act as tools to limit them or strip them away.
He knew and pushed for natural rights, that our rights do not come from permission granted by others, rather they are inherent and undeniable. So hold onto this truth as we face difficult times, knowing that every step forward, every act of kindness and resilience, may still bring us closer to the world we deserve.
This message speaks directly to the struggles we face now. Politicians and leaders work to undermine our equality, to erase our rights from policies or laws, but they cannot erase the truth that we are deserving of dignity, respect, and freedom. Our rights, are not subject to the whims of those who seek to control or diminish us.. they are unchangeable.. because we exist.
So remember these words as both a warning and a call to action. Our rights belong to us, and it is our place to resist any force that tries to take them away.
No one has the power to deny your place in this world, and no law or political agenda can truly erase your right to be treated as equal as long as you keep pushing or fighting for what’s right.
Opt-out is a lie. It always has been.

I won't leave this site as well anyway

Just to let people know, I care so little about the leak concerning Typhlosion.
1. It’s meant to be FOLKLORE, as in not real.
2. It’s not even canon, guys.
3. It’s based on YOKAI folklore, people must not read or know much about it, but nearly ALL yokai lore is messed up.
