Alright, folks!
We’re going to be organizing a shot-for-shot fan remake of Jurassic Park. You can act, animate, use toys, pets, whatever you want! Just make sure your shot is approximately as long as the original. We’ll start by filling in the most popular slots. (1/2)
DM this account to claim your favourite shot. One shot per person. First come, first served. Don’t forget to retweet! We’ll need all hands on deck for this project. (2/2)
Animators are essential, even if you have motion capture readily available. There’s nothing wrong with experimenting with new technology, but bear in mind that animators are there for a reason. Don’t discredit them by propagating uninformed mistruths about the industry.
The End
Hey, Jurassic Fans!
Just popping in to share an impromptu #WednesdayWisdom with you.
This is going to be a thread about why motion capture should NOT be overused in upcoming Jurassic films.
There are times when motion capture is useful, such as complex stunts done by human characters, but for the most part, we need to be giving more credit to animators. Instead of assuming that a computer will “do the work”, please remember that it’s more complicated than that.
