@DjsAviation Depends on who you ask. For low cost airlines yes as it is cheaper than its competitors. But for larger full service airlines no as it’s not as spacious and doesn’t have as much range as its competitors.
@SymonsYahoo@Fahadnaimb They were actually going to buy the 777-8 for Project Sunrise if they didn’t buy the a350. The 777-9 was too big and heavy while the 777-8 was specifically designed for ultra long haul.
@DjsAviation Honestly, I’d say the plane had some wildly bad luck when trying to join the Australian flag carrier. First it was Etops during the 2000s. Now it was the slow certification process. No matter how hard it tries something stops Qantas from buying it.
@Gumohameha You’re not the only. When Kirk carked it any everyone was going on about it, I just went “Who’s that?” Then just went back to studying planes falling out of the sky.
@Qantas Quick question, will this evolved business class be added to the older 787-9s or will they have to wait till their next major check like a D Check?
@DjsAviation Yes. But they should be mindful about the 777 8 as Boeing would have a plane that is similar in capacity. But has a better sweet spot for range.
