European Traders

As many of you know, Binance recently restricted USDT pairs for European users.
The last available pairs for LUNC and USTC were against the Turkish Lira (TRY). However, Binance has announced not long ago, due to Turkish government requirements, non-Turkish can no longer trade TRY pairs(fair enough).

For the Terra Classic European community, this has been a major setback, and we can already see the impact reflected in market sentiment and price activity.

Knowing this, we took action. We contacted Binance to explore possible solutions. Their advice was to apply for new trading pairs and to show community interest publicly which is why we created the previous post and poll to demonstrate community support. (I will say very successfully )

We officially applied for LUNC/USDC and USTC/USDC pairs. Initially, everything looked promising and we were hopeful.

Unfortunately, today we received confirmation that the application was not approved due to low TC metrics (personally believe we have one of the strongest metrics in the space, organic social media, trading activity etc).

While this is disappointing news for European traders, nothing is lost. We still have alternative exchanges supporting the ecosystem — for example, Bitvavo, where LUNC remain available and trading strongly.
