Yesterday, within the space of an hour, a successful pro called my writing on-the-nose and amateurish... and the writer/creator of one of the most successful TV shows of all time flattered my work and hired me to do some writing for him. Nobody KNOWS anything. Just keep writing.
Too often we only hear about those who return to prison, or the lengthy record of someone who committed a crime. It was refreshing to hear from those who are working to improve themselves and society. Well done!
Last night Represent Justice @werepjustice held a short film screening/graduation for their 2023 Ambassadors. The Ambassadors made these shorts to share their stories of life after doing time and the impact being locked up has had on them.
You've completed the rewrites of your script. You've read it a couple of times and feel good about what you've done. . . . Then you get the notes and realize rewriting may be your reality for a while.🫤 LET'S GO!💪✍️
When 3 different Republicans, who didn't do the math, join them and end up electing a Democrat in the Republican majority House, all hell breaks loose. I'm thinking horror/comedy.
I've been watching/listening to the speaker vote going on this week on @CNN, @MSNBC, @FoxNews because there must be a possible script to be written based on this. Possibly 3 McCarthy supporters risk voting for Jeffries to make the point this has to end.
@StubHub@NFL Been waiting for my tickets for 6 weeks. Nothing but lip service from your company. Always “We’re aware of the problem and our tech team is working on getting you your tickets.” Terrible service.
@TedHope As a screenwriter I’d rather collaborate with someone who views scripts as a launchpad. Striving to enhance what the writer envisioned. Not mold it into something totally different. Of course, once the script is sold the writer has little control over the final product.

I joined the free peer-to-peer script notes program on @Coverfly and have done analysis on a few scripts. I wish I could see what does and doesn't work in my own scripts so easily. 🫤
Zach Baylin: “I’m not a director, so, for me, I know that whatever I hand off is going to take on different iterations. I just try to close my eyes and throw it out there.”
I guess it’s for me to decide when I’m done.
Jeymes Samuel: “For me, it’s when I say, “OK, that’s dope.” There’ll always be something else. But a script is exactly like a song. I get to a stage where I go, “Wicked. Now it’s time to hit the streets with it.” On set, Idris always goes, “Is there a world in which …?”
