4am Post Knicks game 2 disaster. A few of my thoughts:
-Duece McBride was an utter mess as a PG. Ball Handling creation is his biggest weakness, let’s not do it again
-Knicks need to emphasize KAT posting up smaller players
-OG & Mikal need to step up as leaders on D. CJ killed

Newcastle has some really solid squad depth to me. Gordon, Murphy, Barnes, Elanga are an impressive set of wide attacking talent. They perhaps need a different type of player next, a more technical non pace addicted playmaker, but Newcastle has come a long way in a few short yrs

During the Isak hold out, much was made of Newcastle not having a Striker at all, even tho William Osula was there. He very clearly, maybe fairly, didn’t have the trust of of Eddie Howe. It’s great to see now (partly due to the injury to Wissa) that Howe seems to trust him now.

Both Rashford & Anthony Gordon having electric UCL performances tonight. That England starting LW battle is going to be fun to track all season. Good problem to have for the England manger

This Crystal Palace - Bournemouth game is an amazing example of the why the Premier League is the greatest. Two non traditional clubs sitting in the top 8, with two of the most in form attackers in the Prem, with two excellent managers, having a wide open heavy weight showdown.

Just turned on the Liverpool-Gala game. It could be, and I could be wrong but I don’t think I am, Jeremie Frimpong is playing as a RM & Dominik Szoboszlai is playing as the RB. Interesting

I like Jake O’Brien but he is far from a full time PL RB. Everton have got to sort out their fullbacks. The whole back line will look better once Jarrad Branthwaite returns (and maybe Adam Aznou breaks into the side)

I have a pet peeve for opposite foot Fullbacks 😭 I love Djed Spence but watching him operate down the left while not being able to use his left foot irks me

This Haitian back line have zero chemistry with each other. May have a lot to do with long time GK and Captain Johny Placide not being called up

The game was getting quite heavy but absolute nonsense tackle by Anthony Gordon. Not just a red card in this game but with no recognized striker, Newcastle is in trouble with their front line over the next 3 games. Immature by the England international

Rashford needs to improve his movement in the pockets. The passers at Barca are very capable of finding him if he makes those movements
