We just crossed a line in medicine that humanity has been walking toward for a hundred years.
For the first time, doctors can take a biopsy of your specific tumor, read its unique DNA mutations — the exact fingerprint no other cancer on earth shares — and build a custom mRNA blueprint written for one human being. Yours.
It doesn't poison the cancer. It teaches your own immune system what to hunt.
And this week, Phase 3 results confirmed it works.
Added to the best immunotherapy we already had, this individualized cancer vaccine has been dramatically cutting the odds that high-risk melanoma comes back. In the earlier data, the combination reduced the risk of recurrence or death by 49%, and the risk of the cancer spreading to distant organs by 62%, compared to the standard treatment alone. This week's Phase 3 readout confirmed the benefit holds. That is not a modest tweak. That is a different trajectory for a human life.
And melanoma is just the first door. The same approach is now in trials across lung, bladder, and kidney cancers — a whole program of them, racing forward.
Understand what this actually means, because it's bigger than one drug.
For all of history, we fought cancer with blunt weapons. Cut it out. Burn it with radiation. Flood the whole body with chemotherapy and hope the cancer dies before the patient suffers too much. We were swinging a hammer in the dark.
This is a blueprint. A weapon designed atom by atom for one person's disease, that turns their own body into the thing that finds and destroys it. We are watching medicine shift from managing cancer to hunting it.
I've spent my life as a physician, and I did not expect to see this so soon. We were told personalized cancer vaccines were a thirty-year dream. They are happening right now, in real patients, with real data, in our lifetime.
I don't say this lightly, and I say it as a doctor who knows exactly how rare these moments are: this is one of the most hopeful things to happen in the history of the field.
I woke up thinking of the words of the morning prayer — Modeh Ani — I thank You. Gratitude, the moment you open your eyes, for a soul returned and a day given. To be alive at the exact hour when human beings learned to teach the body to cure itself feels like standing inside that prayer.
We are not at the end of cancer. But we are, unmistakably, at the beginning of the end of its reign.
Russian corvette sunk in the Black Sea.
The Russian missile corvette Ivanovets was destroyed about 12 km off Donuzlav, near Crimea — hit by Ukrainian MAGURA V5 naval drones.
This is another blow to Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, which has suffered losses at a pace rarely seen in modern naval warfare.
The MAGURA V5 once again proves why it’s Ukraine’s most effective sea‑drone platform: fast, stealthy, and capable of sinking vessels that should be protected.
In short: One corvette down. One fleet more anxious.
@elonmusk, let me take you up on your offer

@pande_krish@Mario_Sneh Hey pinhead, have your ever done a long haul flight in the middle seat? The father was slack and cheap waiting to have seats allocated by the airline.
For decades, the Russian dictator's unspoken contract with his slaves promised stability relative to 1990's chaos in exchange for him and his cronies looting everything of value.

I’m half Japanese (my father is Japanese and my mother is white).
Last night I had dinner with my best friends. Ones Persian, ones Vietnamese, one white Australian and one is Sri Lankan Australian. So 3 of us were born here and 2 migrated within the last 10 years.
We spoke about several topics:
We all are voting for @OneNationAus. We are all patriotic for Australia and want to see the country do well. We can’t stand people who disrespect the country and the people who have given us so much.
Unlike the left wants you to believe, we are so grateful for the opportunity this country has provided us. We will give our lives for this country.
We also agreed that Australians are the most friendly people on earth. They are welcoming to all foreigners. In my last post I spoke about how many Italians post WW2 were allowed into the country. They were welcomed despite being an enemy of Australia for 4 years. All the left can say about this is how much racism they faced, trying their best to spread division.
Theres no doubt they would have faced racism given they’d just spent 4 years shooting at each other. But whats important here is that Italians were given safe passage into the country, and now they are great part of the nations history.
It’s time for us all to unify and move forward as a nation. No more division. Let’s all band together and make this once again the best country on earth. Vote @OneNationAus
@Pontifex What about appealing for a barbaric 6th century faux religion relentlessly calling for the elimination of all non believers and Christians? Christianity had a reformation, how about Islam?
🇺🇦 SIN CHALECO. A TODA VELOCIDAD. SOLO.
No espera órdenes.
No se pone el chaleco. Salta a una pickup y pisa a fondo. Llega.
Vladyslav Polsky.
The drone attack on the Moscow region during the night of August 16 was reportedly the most massive since the beginning of the year.
And so, the largest and most important Wildberries logistics center is burning and will no longer support the Russian army.
‼️ Russia's main state bank warned that Russia is going to lose the economic war, and compared the situation to the 1917 revolution and 1991 collapse of the USSR.
In related news, Russian banks have a record shortage of liquidity as Russians keep withdrawing cash en masse.
👀🍿
The Kremlin will call it “regrouping” – but the trend is crystal clear !!!!
The map tells the story
Russia has abandoned the Dnipro axis not because Ukraine broke through, but because Russian units could no longer hold the line.
Drone dominance attrition, and manpower exhaustion forced a withdrawal toward Donetsk.
Expect the Kremlin to call it a “regrouping,” but the reality is simpler: the meat wave snapped.
This is the pattern of a shrinking imperial project — not through dramatic defeats, but through systemic exhaustion.
🦩💥 Russia: Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missile struck the Progress Rocket & Space Center in Samara, 1,000km away.
The Roscosmos high-cleanroom facility for onboard electrical and control systems assembly was destroyed. (Building 106A)
Possibly an attempt to prevent Russia from establishing a Starlink-type satellite constellation for targeting missiles and drones against Ukraine.
After Russia got booted from Starlink, they sped up development of their own version, Rassvet.
Rassvet is launched on rockets built at the Progress Space Centre in Samara.
And what got hit by Flamingoes last night? The Progress Space Centre in Samara. 😎
Try a trampoline.
